At 147, he was not better in ANY category. You just don't know the fighters you're discussing, or at least one of them. Floyd has not a single advantage at 147, and Benitez is naturally larger and more comfortable at this weight as well.
So this must be the 20th "Hearns would kill Floyd" thread I have seen on here... Maybe Hearns would win, maybe he wouldn't, it's impossible to predict a fight between fighters fighting 20 years apart. Like I said in another thread, Paul Williams was supposed to kill Quintana too, but look what happened. And by the way Paul Williams has a 4 inch longer reach than Hearns did, which is crazy... These fantasy match-ups are pointless, people can't even predict the outcome of a fight between fighters from the same era, so what's the point?
I think Hearns would pose as the most difficult stylistic match up for Mayweather. Hearns will stop Mayweather in the mid or late rounds.
Hearn's more then likely would have killed , cotto , margarito , Floyd , shane as well as oscar and Hatto .. So what the point ??? really ??
PBF wins at 47, Hearns would not be able to hit him. No one else can. Hearns never had a great chin, and was weak in long fights at 47. PBF would probably stop him late.
I don't get how this happens. Floyd relies on a shoulder roll defense and is would allow Duran to get in close.. This isn't Ricky Hatton Floyd would be dealing with on the mid to inside range.. Duran was very cagey and had an unbelievable chin. I'm not sure many people were even capable of keeping him honest at 135.
floyd's best wins have come against pressure fighters. he has beaten all the presure fighters that there were to fight. duran is argubally the greatest pressure fighter of all time, but floyd knocked down the late great corrales 5 times. before that fight corrales had not been down in his whole career. floyd on his night can beat duran, and duran on his night can beat floyd, but i'm backing floyd to get a close decision.
