Expectations: Moderate. I expect a lot from Jackson, and Norkus I'm on the fence about. I've seen him in both thrilling and snoozing performances. Given that though, I'm leaning towards this being a good one. This content is protected Description: 1. Lazy. Jackson threw a lazy flurry at the end when Norkus was cornered. That was it. Jackson. 3? (really can't tell on the screen lol) Jackson's uppercuts don't plow through Norkus' guard. Jackson. 4. Jackson exhausting Norkus on body blows. Jackson's energy caused him to slip (that's what I wrote when I saw it, I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THAT MEANS NOW, THOUGH!). Nrokus absorbed a brutal beating; it's a wonder Jackson didn't finish him, or even deck him. Jackson. 5. The battering continued. Jackson allowed several pauses for the referee to intercede, but the referee did not make a stoppage after several of these. So, Jackson did the only thing he could do, and kept pounding away at Norkus. Eventually the ref did stop a beating that, by the point he stopped it, had become prolonged. Jackson. Verdict: 4-0 for Jackson, with 1 missing. Assessment: Jackson-didn't look good. I know the man can fight, but his performance was overshadowed by his inability early on to put away a defenseless man. Norkus-looked worse. He was ineffective and in retreat most of the time, and barely holding up the rest, in the latter portion of the match. Verdict: Meh. Nothing stimulating. Pass it by, my friend.
It was still a good strong win for Jackson though. Yeah it was a one-sided beat down and may not be Jackson' best performance on film, but he did get him out of there in 5.
