Information to the contrary is always welcome. Otherwise what else should we go on, if not the record books ?
Please provide a credible source that says Flowers deserved the victory/ was robbed. etc.

You might want to take your knowledge of boxing history beyond who got the
    W in the records books.

Yep, I rate down all of the old fighters who refused to fight black guys. How on earth anyone can't is beyond me. One of the most ridiculous posts I've ever seen on ESB was in a thread when I mentioned that John L Sullivan was technically only the Heavyweight Champion of white men who fought in America. Some nostalgic apologist replied that it didn't matter as there weren't any worthy black challengers about. So black fighters, who have ruled the majority of the Heavyweight divisions history, only became good after the era of Sullivan?

You might want to stop coming on as the "elder statesman" with every post.

If you have information that Flowers was robbed against Mctigue produce it.
Proof is allways more acceptable than condescension, and we can all learn here .
    EVEN YOU.

This is one of the few cases where I genuinely don't think it made a nicklesworth of difference.

You haven't corrected me, you produced a garbled sentence that makes no sense at all .What does.
    WAS WARSI EVER mean?
I allready said it was a split decision in favour of McTigue , so it would be surprising if there were not some dissenters, you haven't shown any proof of a robbery at all.
All the errors are on your side.
I repeat, IF you have proof that Flowers was robbed , produce it .
And, do try to stop smirking at your own imagined superiority, something I must tell you, that is not evident to me.

Does Dawson say he disagreed with the verdict?
No I dont owe you an apology, I never said Flowers was not robbed ,I asked you for proof of it ,you have provided a newsclip which I accept.
My remarks about you personally, I stand by.
I am amending this now. I accept your report as one version of the fight, another totally opposite has been provided. Two boxing sites Box rec and Cyberzone have accepted that Mctigue won the fight, unless ,and until, you can come up with definitive proof to the contrary I accept their result.

    Another view...
    "Discarding his usual defensive
style to trade punches in terrific
    exchanges throughout the final
    match of ten rounds, McTigue
    was awarded a judges' decision
    over Tiger Flowers, Atlanta,Ga..
    negro. The decision drew mingled
booes and shouts of approval from
a throng of fifteen thousand spectators."

Thanks for providing this,:good Slakka produced one report , implying one thing ,you produced another saying the opposite.
As I stated ,it was a split decision, so some dissension was natural.

The decision came as as shock to the crowd
and was greeted with one of the wildest outbursts of condemnations ever exp in local boxing
For 10 min after Humphreys made his announcement of the verdict the crowd stood and yelled its disapproval.
It exceeded even the Dundee-Bernstein dec in the old garden.
Then special police begin clearing the builing but the demonstrations continued. Even after the crowd had started out of the arena little groups of spectators ignoring the commands of the specials stood about discussing the verdict and ridiculing it.

In the records the decision of course will be credited to McTigue but everyone who saw the fight will remember Flowers as the winner.
Flowers won not only because he was the aggressor
but because he out hit as well as out generalled McTigue
in taking 8 of the ten rounds.
