It is a very interesting fight .. Loughran was a terrific fighter but bad hands did handicap his power .. I feel Moore may be just too strong and Tommy may not have enough to keep him off but who knows ? Maybe Tommy stays a step ahead of him ...

Amazing how many times the #1, #2, #3 fighters are solidly in our minds, then some Classic poster proposes a super-good, overlooked match-up, and one thinks..."gotta think about this one for a little bit". lol

I'm going to meekly submit that Moore wins on points because Loughran can't get him to respect his power and Archie finds a way to get to his preferred range and position more often.. but ChristAlmighty... that's a difficult one.

I have to go with Loughran...but only if it's his "A game" and he does what he does best and jab and move all night. There's a chance he would do that very thing based on his experience fighting heavyweights...moving constantly and not allowing Moore to get set...and not to fall for any of his traps. Tommy had the best left jab and a great pair of legs, and he wasn't likely to succumb to the urge to shoot it out with Archie.

On that one, best night, Loughran upsets the old Mongoose on points.
