    Dempsey of 19-23 beats him by decision, probably similar to Gibbons fight

    Loughran beats 1926-27 version.

    Not sure he beats the Dempsey of Tunney 2 .. Tunney was exceptional that night but if you watch the films Dempsey , while not what he was was still a very talented, dangerous fighter ..

    True. If Dempsey lands the same combination on Loguhran that he did on Tunney, it could be lights out. Dempsey still had his power in 1927 and his hands were still quite fast.

    The issue with Dempsey was his slow feet. He had completely lost his footspeed by then.
