good to hear. i'm a little out of touch on the subject, but i think it wasn't too long ago that the good stuff (magic brew) was expensive and wasn't always provided

 

We are always reading reports that he is in bad health. If this one is true, I wish him well. I wonder what part of Tennessee he is in. I live in Florida, but am currently in Tennessee.

 

Sad to see what became of Tommy. He had the look, he had the punch, he had it all.

Now it just seems like a matter of time.

 

It appears to be true. One constant thing throughout the boxing forums is that Tommy believed his downfall in health was due to a spider bite he received while in jail.

Tommy's wife continually states that Tommy has never, ever, had the HIV virus and maintains he is healthy as a horse, all the while Tommy hasn't been heard from in over a year and the only pic she posted of him he looked like he was at 100 pounds and looked like absolute dog ****.

If this is the end for Duke, may he rest in peace. HIV/AIDS Denialism has claimed alot of lives and hopefully Tommy's story can be a good one to motivate people to take the medicine and try and live healthy. I mean remember him in 1996 on those talk shows? Tommy seemed so at peace with his condition and seemed so smart and dedicated to trying to educate people....and then he gave all that up and it ended him up where he is now...

 

He was also on the juice.

It's just a matter of time for all of us......some sooner, some later.

 

Very sad. I wish the best for Tommy and his family.

I emailed trish a few nights ago and she responded by telling me he is def not in icu. He is in rehab facility but that is all

I can vouch for Russ010, he is just like any one of us, a concerned fan who actually happens to know Tommy and Trish personally.

Russ has done a series of interviews with Tommy over the years that have been published by major boxing websites.

Anyway, i don't much believe Tommy's wifes side of things. She is telling anyone who listens that Tommy is 100% perfectly fine and all we are hearing are rumors.

keep in mind that other than photos of Tommy looking absolutley close to death in July 2012, we have seen or heard nothing from Duke. For a guy who is 100% fine, Tommy would have showed up by now certainly looking to kick some ass of those who started false rumors.

But Tommy is quiet. According to Tom Virgets he was last seen over the summer looking very, very thin, and he was very sick and according to Virgets.

I have a bad feeling that the truth will only be revealed when Tommy sadly passes away..

<P>Thanks Ironmark, from what I have heard from his wife, Duke is not 100% fine but is def not in ICU as mentioned or on his death bed. Time will tell which story is true and I hope it is that he is on the road to recovery. My only question regarding the Ross Purity story is that if nothing is being put out to the media why would he know the whole story and happily put it out there, especially, if like people have said his family know nothing. Why would some people be told one thing and others something else?</P>
