I remember when he first announced he had HIV. He took full responsibility and said he had brought it on himself. I never heard Magic Johnson do that. Magic sounded more like a victim. Everyone was like "Poor Magic." Nobody talked about the elephant in the room - that he f_ed everything that moved - while married. And slept with his wife the whole time. Luckily, she didn't get it. So, to vilify Morrison is a double standard. Now, later, Morrison got whacked out in the head and became a denier. But initially, he sent out a very positive message and may have prevented some kids from getting it later with his message. I see nothing wrong with building him a memorial.
You're out of touch. Morrison got it in 1989 from dirty steroid needles and brushed it under the carpet for as long as he could, but still fought a couple of times after it was public knowledge that he had it. He also put many people outside of boxing at risk during that period. There's a separate thread about it if you search for it.
