Both had their hands raised at the end of respective fights against Foreman ,but who gets the win between the 2 ?

If Tommy decides to box and stays cautious, he should win decisively. It's kind of a big 'if', though.

Pretty sure this around what I said another time this thread was posted. Morrison was infinitely more skilled than Briggs, and beat a younger Foreman clear... But at the same time it's hard to shake of the feeling of Morrison getting caught cold early or blowing a huge lead and getting stopped late. That being said the more I think about it the less unlikely Morrison stopping Briggs is. Briggs could be hurt by big punchers especially during this portion of his career.

I frankly think Foreman was arguably robbed against Morrison, if less obviously than against Briggs.
I'd like to meet the person who thinks Ingemar Johansson should have been disqualified against Sanders, but Morrison should not have against Foreman -if that person exists.

KO is not happening. Briggs had a hard head and could take punishment.

If the "Ding Dong Man" Darroll Wilson could ko Briggs, I'm sure that Morrison could too.

I go with Morrison, but he could box a masterpiece against Foreman, then get ko'd be Michael Bennt. 80/20 in Morrisons favor.

I'll go with the Briggs right hand to get the job done early.

I think Tommy has major problems against the big tall guys like a Lewis. Morrison gets low and dips to spring up and land his shots. I think the big guys are all wrong for the arc of his hooks. And his defense and punch taking ability come into play even more because he'd be in the other guy's range.

I remember going to the Lewis==morrison fight and Lennox looked about twice the size of Morrison during the ring instructions. You just knew right then Tommy had no chance against the guy. I think the same thing happens with another big guy in Briggs.

If I had to go to the sports book and bet, I'd throw a few bucks on Morrison, Yet by the end of the fight, I may have pulled all my hair out!

briggs was given a gift against foreman. even he knew that he lost that fight. when the bell rang, he slumped his shoulders and head and walked back to his corner. there he sat with head in hands. when his name was called, even HE had a look of surprise on his face.
plus, when they handed briggs the belt, his name was ALREADY on it! now, are two belts ready? is there a super fast engraver ringside?
as to thread, knock out either way. morrison had a lot of power and if hge landed, lights out. but morrison's christmas ornament strength chin could almost guarantee a knock out by briggs.

Hahahah so lennox lewis is a good example to compare with shannon briggs lol.. Now i did read it all.
Shannon briggs was not bigger than foreman... And lewis was taller but morrison had a wider back, anyway it is totally irrelevant.. Lewis did not win because he was a big guy.. He won because he was one of the greatest hws ever and assuming that a can like briggs would do the same only because a size factor this idea is totally laughable. A prime briggs was not any bigger than ruddock.

You bring up some good points. I think Morrison is a better fighter but Briggs chin and size brings him back into the equation.

You'd probably favor Morrison but it's anything but a foregone conclusion.

John are you serious? What size? First of all briggs was 6'4 and 227 pounds in his prime the old shannon is on roids and hormone.. And the 227 pounds of young briggs was not because he had huge frame... He was very muscular, tommy was 6'2 and 227 pounds . ruddock was heavier and wider than briggs when he fought tommy, he was 243 pounds with a huge back. Briggs was not lewis the argument of the size is ridiculous
