Two men who have since passed on. Sanders heroically trying to shield his family from gun wielding assailants. Morrison, as we all know but he foolishly wouldn't admit - from what eventually developed into full blown AIDS. They were both left-hookers with excellent power, poor stamina, questionable chins. Although Sanders before fatigue set in took some huge shots from Vitaly Klitschko in a losing effort for the title in 2004.

Lets take the Sanders of 1999 who was beating Rahman until he ran out of gas. The Corrie Sanders who shocked Wladimir Klitschko in 2003 didn't look to be in top shape. He just used his quick reflexes and considerable power to blitz the big Ukrainian and hurt him quickly on his way to an 2nd round kayo. So we will opt for the Corrie of 1999.

Against him will be the Tommy "The Duke" Morrison of 1995 who stopped Razor Ruddock in a real barnburner. Who takes this fun fight?

Wow great matchup. Tough one. Im stunned. Can Sanders bomb out Morrison early?
That might be his best bet because the Duke can gut it out in a war ala Ruddock, and
change his style to box intelligently. I think the height and speed of Sanders might be
too much. With Tommy's out punch anything is possible. On the fence right now. Ill have to rewatch Rahman Sanders. The Sanders fights I know best are Wlad and Vitali.
Im gonna answer again tonight. Right now I think Morrison gets ****ed up and dropped
but survives to land the left hook. Has Norrison ever fought a Southpaw though? Ill be back.

Morrison of 1993, and 1995 for that matter stops Sanders in my opinion..

Morrison would use his superior boxing ability, and athleticism, to build up in early lead then stop him late, from excessive punishment...

Morrison had a lot of faults, but i never saw him come into the ring with a flabby beer gut, Sanders was poorly conditioned, and never showed the heart, and determination Morrison, did...

Sanders showed up for the biggest fight of his career, soft and flabby against the elder Klitchko and by the 6th round he was sucking wind...:-(

If Sanders comes in shape and motivated he blows Morrison out in 1 round. If he's out of shape he blows Morrison out within 2.

Sanders. I would bet the mortgage on it. Morrison seemed preprogrammed in his combos. He didn't have great instincts in that regard. Sanders threw like a fighter, mixing punches, working openings and just seemed more fluid and less cumbersome. Sanders also had a better chin and didn't panic. Nate Tubbs aside, you had to gas him to win. Vitali put a schellacking on him to stop him...

Pretty much sums it up. I would be astonished if Morrison didn't end up on the canvas within the first 2 minutes. Sanders was a big puncher, lightning fast hands, good chin. He'd wreck Tommy.

If they fought 3 times I think all 3 would end by KO. I think Morrison wins 2 out of 3. Great match-up. I mean that! Wow, this would have been one for the fans.

I like Corrie Sanders. Faster hands, greater size, and slightly better skilled. His chin and stamina weren't top grade, but neither were Tommy's. Both had huge power and likewise were fast starters who did most of their best work early. I just see Sanders being the first to get Morrison in trouble and finish him.

I like Sanders here because of hand speed and the southpaw style and Tommy's chin but both men had power so it could end quickly just think Corrie gets off first

I would also lean slightly towards an early Sanders kayo but only reluctantly. These guys were both erratic but talented.

Sanders greater size?? , look at a picture from Morrison back in 1993-1995, and tell me who's got more bulk and muscle, it sure as hell isn't Sanders, Sanders was flabby, Morrison before he got sick was like a rock...

Morrison was around 230-235, so was Sanders how is he bigger?? Morrison was listed at 6-2, Sanders at 6-4 in sorry when your in the ring with someone 2 lousy inch isn't gonna matter much, if at all...

Sanders wasn't MORE SKILLED, he would have not been able to outbox Foreman, the way Morrison did, when did you ever see Sanders outbox a World heavyweight champion over a long 12 round fight, ummm never..

    We will agree to disagree...

I think Sanders' quick straight left meets, and breaks, Morrison's chin faster than Morrison can land his vaunted left hook, although Morrison could punch like a monster with either hand.
