Old era fighters are overvalued as hell. Prime Morrison was not 40 y.o slow Ortiz or this Stiverne. Morrison had POWER and was not slow. He wasn't "one handed" like Wilder and his punching arsenal was more diverse than Wilder's. I think Morrison 55/ Wilder 45.
Morrison would destroy Wilder with that left hook! It would go straight through any semblance of a guard that Wilder offered and leave Wilder with an indentation where his head used to be! Morrison by premeditated massacre!
I like this fight. Always have done. It's one of those ones where either guy could win or turn things around at literally any moment. It's a fight which really embodies that old idiom of "anything can happen at heavyweight". I pick Wilder, albeit with no conviction whatsoever. I have a little more faith in him taking Morrison's best than vice versa and I think he'd land the felling blow first. Morrison may have been an incredible offensive technician, but he had an awful defence. Coming in as aggressively as he did vs Wilder's cross is a bad idea. I reckon that once Wilder gets rocked by Morrison, he responds as he did vs Breazeale.
Lotsa banned people posting on this one Yeah first to land a big shot wins - I'd go w/Morrison 2 out of 3 fights. He faced most of the top dogs in his era. Wilder has faced one and is 0-1-1, most think 0-2.
