Both fought tense and thus tired pretty fast. Neither of them is hard to hit and each hits hard enough to hurt the other. Neither of them takes a punch all that well but both are willing to take one to land one. It was Ray Arcel, i think, that said anytime you get two guys that don't know how to box odds are you'll see a good fight, or something like that. This fight would capture that perfectly. It would be a shootout early and probably end in 3 or less. If it got to the point where they both got tired, the fight would drag on, punctuated by bursts whenever somebody got a bit of energy, and any one of those could end the fight.
I'm not saying he quit a fight. He quit his career a couple times. After he lost to Mercer, and after he lost to Bent.
They're both glass cannons. It lasts one round, maybe two, going to whoever lands the first clean power shot. It's a pretty humorous match up.
Morrison in 5-6 rounds, both have bad chins but Morrison is more skilled and has better stamina. Both probably trade knockdowns.
Morrison a slight favorite sounds right. A bit more skill & arguably speed. Without PEDs, Morrison apparently said he would be 190 lbs. On an even playing field, clearly Shavers.
wow excellant slugger matchup. Shavers is gonna have to train like he did for his title shot for Holmes' and Morrison is gonna have to train like he did for Big George, AND THIS IS NOT FOR THE Marathon lol
The most predictable, least interesting member is back from being banned. Yay. Anyhoo, even though I don't think much of Morrison, his win over Foreman and general power do compel me to pick him. That said, being that Mercer and Lewis weren't quite the punchers Earnie was, I think it's possible if Earnie lands he puts Morrison into a coma. He was halfway there with Ray...watch the ko.
