Morrison is bigger and probably hits harder.

    Who wins ?

    Morrison undoubtedly hits harder.

Anyway, Quarry is VERY capable of blitzing good men in one round. Bodell and Shaver's both learned this.

Quarry by KO ... he feaster on power punchers with questionable chins ... Quarry's chin was iron ... I se him doing a Ray Mercer on Tommy Boy ...

Quarry, no question. While tommy Had the power, he also had a chin made of glass.

Quarry by TKO around the 6th or 7th round. Unless Tommy stops Jerry on cuts, I'd believe he'd have a hard time dealing with Quarry's tenacity and his short left hook.

Quarry would have swept the ring with Morrison. It may have gone 2 or 3 rounds before the ref would have stopped it. Quarry would have taken anything that Morrison would have dished out and decked him in the 2nd or 3rd round, a followup barrage would have ended matters.

I like Quarry in this matchup, though its not out of the question for Morrison to win. In order for Jerry to take it though, he needs to try and get an early stoppage or KO, before Tommy gets his guns going.

Tommy could be a cautious boxer, like against Foreman. Throwing the jab, keeping Quarrey at bay with his power, & tucking in his chin. If Tommy keeps the action slow & could earn an unspectacular 12 round decision.

Jerry Quarry was a ATG boxer if not for cuts and bad luck he could have been a Hall of Famer, Quarry by KO in the 4th round.

Who knows, he managed twelve with Foreman.

Quarry doesn't quite put Foreman level pressure on.

I like Quarry in this becuae he could nulify a puncher with his solid chin but had trouble with speed....Tommy could get shook and Quarry could shake ya

You could argue either way. Morrison wasn't just bigger and hit harder. He had very good hand speed too. Perhaps the hardest hook I ever saw on film too.

Quarry had better skills, better stamina, and more durability, but geez, he boxed when he should have brawled, and brawled when he should have boxed. Quarry was his own worst enemy at times.

Morrison had problems too. He partied a lot. Was a bit of a flake, and went though women like a chain smoker tosses out used cigarettes.

I like Morrison early, and Quarry late. At their best, I think Quarry would win late, as his counter punching and hook would catch up to Morrison's leaky defense and suspect chin / stamina. Quarry to me was not the type to be taken out by one big shot.
