True that. I think louis unquestionably goes down if Morrison caught him early. Now could he keep him down? that's a different story IMO.

 

There is a world of difference between putting somebody on their arse, and forcing a stoppage.

Louis was never stopped without taking a ridiculous amount of punishment, so I don't even give Morrison much of a punchers chance.

Morrison's power would likely be his undoing, because Louis would decide that it was safer to get him out of there early.

 

Morrison mops the floor with poor ol' limited Joe with his limited feet and upper body movement.
If Morrison lands a clean power punch, that's all she wrote for Joe Louis.

 

I cannot see any logical reason to think that Morrison could stop Louis with a single punch.

Nobody came particularly close to doing it in the real world, and while Morrison was a devastating puncher, he would not necessarily be the hardest hitter that Louis had been in with.

 

If anything gives Morrison an edge, it's his use/abuse of PEDs (assuming he's not lying about them just to cover up the HIV). Not any mobility advantages. This isn't exactly going to be a dancing exhibition for either guy.

Except of power Louis was far superior fighter in every possible aspect of the game. And he was devastating puncher himself.
