hmmm, could be entertaining. in cases like these, or at least his case, i prefer the superior technician and that's moorer. he'd be stung early, and often, but would make the adjustments necessary to take morrison out. i see a similar outcome as the cooper fight but longer drawn out
I just remember what it was like against Yuro Vaulin for Tommy....i think Moorer would have carved the Duke up something bad...
Excellent match up. Much depends on how smart Tommy is. Obviously, his hook is his best weapon, but the best way to deploy it with a southpaw is to the body. Morrison also had an underrated right hand, and he'd need to lead with it if he was to exploit Moorer's suspect chin. Personally, I'd defer to Foreman's judgment on this one, as he fought them both back to back. Moorer was better over the distance, and I think his jab could hold Tommy's hook at bay. Each could get up to win. MM's reach might be a huge edge here.
Both guys do things the other guy doesn't like and it makes for an interesting matchup and one I wanted to see. Morrison is going to have a real rough time of it dealing with the accuracy of Moorer. And those straight non telegraphed punches. And Moorer is going to have major problems trying to absorb that left hook Morrison threw in the early rounds. That punch really sizzled and was real quick & doesn't have to land clean to bother Moorer. These guys could fight 3 times and they'd all be terrific fights and neither is going 3-0.
