Tommy Morrison vs Micheal Grant

I'd pick Grant up until he fought Lewis. Post-Lewis, Grant's confidence was severely shaken and I'd probably bet on Morrison.

 

Grant was a soft big man without much defense. I think Morrison take him.

Speaking of Tommy, his son Trey now 4-0 with 4 very early Ko's is a near carbon copy of what Tommy looked like in the early stages of his career.

 

I of the reasons his confidence was shaken was due to him hiring Teddy Atlas as his trainer. When your head trained constantly tells you that you suck and that you are a piece of ****, it would be hard to believe in oneself.

 

Morrison all the way 2x on Sunday, I gotta agree with the previous poster on this thread that Grant was soft for a real big guy, and Morrison fought and beat bigger men in Foreman and Ruddock, not height wise, but bulk and muscle wise, Morrison was also quicker, tougher, had more balls, and a more forceful punch..

I keep thinking how Lewis barely broke a sweat knocking Grant out, and it took him 7 rounds to get Tommy outta there with a bad eye, it was roughly 20 years ago very long time ago but Morrison put up a helluva lot tougher fight than Grant did..

I believe Morrison would Knock Grant out in 5 or 6 rounds...

ruddock was so far shot and over weight when he fought morrison/ morrison was lucky it wasnt a 89 to 91 version of ruddock and lipton the ref stopped that fight was to soon :good

 

True, Atlas ruined a lot of guys that way. Morrison was better than Grant, Grant got a big build up, but let everyone down more than Morrison did. I rmemeber Max Kellerman on FNF kept calling Grant '"The future of boxing" :yep
