We are talking prime Foreman not the bloated way past peak fighter who came back after 10 years retirement.
John....you just don't know anything about that time. Not your fault but over time you will learn. To me the 70s was not "old time". It's the era I grew up and was watching Foreman who by the way was my fav fighter at that point in time. Old time to me were the eras prior to Ali. Foreman was no great boxer. He was a human force of nature. Immensely strong with destructive power in each fist. Great power jab and he could pick off punches with his gloves nicely and he cut the ring off like no other. Great chin, determined, no dog in George and he had strong killer instinct. George fought at such a high pitch pace trying to ko opponents with every blow that he lost some effectiveness after 5 rounds. Getting past those first 5 rounds would be tough for most any hwt. If Ali would have continued to fight Foreman as he did in round one he may not have lasted 5 rounds with Foreman. I watched George in person slam a 300 pound heavy bag at the Great Gorge resort in north NJ back in 1974. I've seen many hwts hit normal heavy bags in person...Ali, Frazier, Norton, Holmes, Shavers. NEVER have I seen or heard such power. The guy could literally hit like a hammer. It was frightening. Trust me no one could hit like Prime Foreman. Again you just don't know but Ali was already suffering from Parkinson syndrome when he fought Spinks. Plus he was out of shape at the very end of his career. Against a Real heavy puncher Ali would have been seriously injured. Always when mythical match ups are discussed it's fighters at there best not fighters at their worst, way past prime or terminally ill. Your forgiven as you honestly need to know more about what your talking about. It's tough to fully understand unless you have lived through the times.
Again you show your immense ignorance. All the bouts you mention were against past prime Ali. Guess what? Ali was the only fighter ever to KO, for a 10 count no less, George Foreman and he was way in the lead when the ko came. He never had trouble with Bugner. Holmes Ali was way past his prime and I hope you would know this...he was having severe symptoms with Parkinson prior to this bout. SIZE had nothing to do with having trouble to Norton or Lyle. Study up my friend and perhaps in 30 years you will know better.
Nortons style effected the fights outcome against past prime Ali. Frazier came as close as anyone to koing Ali and in fact he beat him. Are you saying 205 lb. Joe Frazier was bigger and more athletic than Ali? Style and skill as well as speed are what makes fighters win or Lose. Size is WAY down on the list. Foreman is a big athletic man but Ali knocked him out...a ten count and he was leading by wide margins when the ko came. Bugner another big man Ali dominated. All past his prime by the way. But then again you don't know this.

You can't be serious! If that's your true opinion then it would've been better left unsaid because it shows how little you know about boxing.
Really? Look above 85 percent agree Ali beats Morrison 70 percent by Ko. Name one boxing trainer or historian who believe Morrison would ko Ali. Name one. Name one in this entire world who believes something so ridiculus.
Name one boxing trainer in the entire world that says morrison kos Ali. Your Tommo....I won't respond to your worthless posts again.
Ok..name any noted boxing trainer that agrees that a nothing like Morisson would beat Ali. I know most of them...they would laugh and slowly walk away.
Tommo, Collins, whoever... Dude, you're killing me. Like I said, you're ok with me but you gotta give credit where it is due and even though you can polish a turd... you must understand that at the end of the day it's just a piece of shlt! Tommy Morrison wasn't **** man. He looked good against bums and even vs. some of them he struggled badly and even got his azs kicked. A lot of guys look good vs. bums, or in the gym, or working out... doesn't mean they are anything special. Hardly anybody looked better in the gym than Vinny Pazienza... the dude looked unbeatable in his workouts... he was far from great IMO. Morrison stated himself that he wouldn't have even been a HW without steroids.
