Not all that competitive, I don't think. Rid**** clubs Tommy out within a few rounds, probably in brutal fashion.
I think Bowe would really hurt him, less than 4 rounds. Tommy could punch, so I guess he always has some chance, but Bowe could also take a shot, and he liked to rumble, I can't see Tommy standing up to it very well.
Fun fight while it lasts, but Bowe was more proven, consistent, and durable. The superior durability probably wipes out most of Tommy's own realistic chance to win.
Bowe is grossly overrated but is bad match up for Tommy. Rid**** wacks him out fairly easily. Less than five rounds in my estimation.
I think Bowe whacks him out in the mid rounds, I see Morrison giving Bowe a few troubling moments with his power punching but Bowe was hard as anyone and would stand his ground and just keep chopping on Morrison likely putting him down a number of times before the fight is stopped.
Rid**** Bowe's psycho manager blocked the fight when Bowe was champion. Bill Clayton hinted there was a racial undertone, that those controlling Bowe didn't want him to lose to a white guy. Who wins? Depends on Bowe. If he's focused, he wins. If he's out of shape, or distracted, he likely losses.
Morrison is a live underdog in this. He has some amazing power and could box, he also would get up if knocked down. Bowe would likely get to a fading tommy late, my guess around 8-9th round. I see Tommy getting Bowe into a shell early, if he can keep him there ,he can win this by decision.
One reason I was so glad to see Bowe crash and burn is because I hated Rock Newman, guy was a total a$$hole, that and his refusal to face Lewis... If the Bowe that faced Holyfield in 92 would have faced Morrison, I can see Bowe winning by late stoppage, he pulled off a Buster Douglas type performance that night... However if fat Bowe of 95, who wore his trunks up to his chest to hide his Mcdonalds addiction, fat gut, fought the Morrison who cracked Ruddock, I can see Morrison taking it.. A lot of different scenarios to consider here.....
I was interviewing guys in the early 90's with whimsical thoughts of becoming a boxing writer. Luckily I found a real career. But I can say, that of all the people I talked to in the boxing world from Don King to Greg Haugen, Rock Newman was biggest goddamned as hole who ever bestrode the planet.
