Tua has a massive frame. You can't really overstate that. His thighs are as thick as some mens' waists.

Men with massive frames put on weight quickly as they mature. Tyson was the same, I believe he was fighting at around 200 in the amateurs.

There was not much weight for Tua to lose without looking emaciated. He just had that kind of body.

 

Tommy Morrison couldn't beat an old Rocky BALBOA. He would lose to Rocky Marciano of course, who was much faster, had more head movement, and put-your-ass-in-the-hospital power.

Tua was a quality boxer, amateur groomed, Duva trained, bronze medalist with insane God-given power. He wasn't just a large lunk. I've seen a lot of boxers first hand and Tua impressed me very much. He is still the only guy I have seen land a left hook and break someone's ankle, the power of his punch traveling straight to the floor.

Felix Trinidad and Ricardo Lopez are both great, great boxers with style and power. There is a reason they never fought each other.

Morrison just never showed up consistently in his big time fights. One could harp on how a "primed" Morrison would win but such a thing rarely appeared. Morrison had nice skills, real talent and a beautiful, natural hook. But he was far too deeply flawed to be bet on to beat Marciano.
