Tommy Morrison vs Shannon Briggs

I'm siding with Briggs, after being hurt, dropped and generally being knocked around, he gets a gassing Morrison in around the 8 th.

 

Morrison was incredibly sharp that night until he gassed. I would go with him- Briggs is and was insanely overrated throughout his career. He really beat no one of note and a 100 year old Foreman deserved that decision.

 

Briggs was beaten by Foreman’s corpse...
Tommy beat it while it was at least still warm with fly’s still circling it that’s all I need to know.

 

I don't think Morrison beat Foreman any More than Briggs did, and Briggs engaged far more.

Could go either way but my money says glass cannon Tommy has a few good early rounds but cracks with disastrous results after five or six.

Morrison was beating mercer until the ko moment

 

The problem of tommy was that he got gassed very fast in this fight because mercer had iron chin and Tommy tried to knock him out very early and mercer could survive but he was better boxer than Mercer

 

Briggs was never KO'd.

 

Until this fight probably. Anyway tko or ko

 

It’s a great fight, one that you wouldn’t bet on given their gas tanks and power, I was favouring Morrison, but Briggs’ much better durability is having me question that, if it got out of the first few rounds, they’d both be gassed, but they’d both sitting ducks and Briggs takes a better punch.
Fight that could go either way, I feel Morrison was a bit better, but both of relatively similar level and Briggs had a much better chin, and given the style matchup, I feel it’d be a very important attribute and one that may decide the winner.

 

Tell that to Darroll Wilson.
