Tommy made Ring's annual heavy list twice. Both times at number 7. He was more like a top 30 fighter across his era.

We're going to ignore that he was juiced to the gills? Not sure he was more athletic than Williams, Clay or even Patterson. None of those dudes felt the need to get pec implants.

Michael Bentt destroyed a prime and ready Morrison. Let that sink in.

Morrison did not train and had been drinking the night before the match. He was a mess. We should also mention Morrison was already very sick when he fought Lewis.

He was doomed from the start and was never going to last long or reach the top, but at his best he was lightning in a bottle.

The Bennett KO not to defend Morrison because I don’t care for him just happens sometimes? Maxim was KO’d by Curtis in 1rd but had an iron chin… not saying Morrison has one of those but a good punch sometimes just takes you out.

I have not ignored he was juiced to the gills, kinda gives credence to my point that he was bigger and more athletic than anyone of Alis wins, doesn't it.

Im a big fan of Floyd man, but I think Tommy blasts him out. Patterson maybe stops Tommy one time out of five for me, and yes, I'd take Morrison to beat Cleve. A tougher fight maybe, but I think peak for peak, yup, Morrison beats him. I accept I probably hold Morrison in higher regard than many do, he had attributes I love, a big heart, a big left hook and he always came to fight.

Please note, I said in my post Liston stops him, and brutally, but I stand by my assertion that he would be Listons finest win. But. It's only my opinion, others are equally valid.

And Tommy WAS a top ten fighter in the ninties, whether it was for a week, a month or a year, he was ranked top ten in a bloody good era.

Regards Bent? Shot happens, this is the heavyweights and this is the hurt game. Tommy didnt have a great chin yet rarely fought in a way that suggested he was aware of this frailty. Kid liked to stand and bang.
