As a great man once said, "Tanning booths and steroids do not a champion make."

Exactly. His only stoppage loss was due to a cut in his 13th pro fight. He took some damn hard shots from both Wilder and Areola who could crack. Morrison was floored around a dozen times in his career, beaten in one round by Michael Bentt, decked twice to a draw against 8-8 ross purity and very nearly beaten by a shot Carl Williams.. And this guy's using one instance where Stiverne was momentarily stunned in ONE fight as his case????

Tommy was an exciting USA / ESPN grade fighter, who made it to a Rocky Movie. put Miami, OK on the map, was WBO Hvywt Champion......and laid a lot of pipe on a bunch of good looking women.

So, from his perspective, he probably thought he had done pretty well.

That's really about it. And he was good in that context. But how the hell some people have managed to cultivate that into him walking into any particular era and dominating is beyond me. He was about the comparable of a Joe Mesi but maybe just a hair better.

Exactly. Always fun to watch and showed true grit to finish some of those fights. But lacked some top-end potential. He seemed to tighten up A LOT and subsequently get untracked or gassed. He rarely had a Plan B, wasn't particularly versatile and imaginative. But he threw a pretty hook.

Demetrice King stopped Stiverne with a barrage of punches in only 4 rounds:roll:

His defence was his face and gloves. Tommy blows a hole right through him.

All these non moving post Lewis era heavies get blown out.

Even the plankon of the 90's era had basic fundamentals like foot movement.

Just like Waldo minus controlling the division for almost a decade and being an ATG.

Moot point. Wlad wouldn't have controlled any part of the 90's era.

Beating Foreman is greater than anything Wlad ever done.

    Quality always trumps quantity .

Sure, he would have gone life and death with Hipp, Williams and an ancient Ruddock... or just death and death with Bentt.

Better adjust the tone arm. I think your record is skipping.

    Why wouldn't he?

He went death and death and life and death against the worst guys in the worst era known to man.

i think that the topic of his "glas jaw" is going too far, it is the general opinion on this forum about him, i don´t think that norton´s was much better
