Possibly the best left hook there was. Perfect technique with natural punching power. Morrison never threw his left hook wildly like David Tua or Joe Fraizer, he worked his way in to judge the correct distance behind a tight guard then used the weight from his front foot to spring upward to deliver his devastating punch.

Whats your thoughts on Morrisons left hook?

I don't think so. But since it was his best punch, it was talked about whenever he was....I'm going to think of a comparitive example once I fully wake up.

I am not sure Morrison's hook was better than Cooney who could throw his under and over just like Frazier could. Morrison could only hook to the head.

Frazier often showed his left hook, many opponents saw it coming, he threw it from the waist and looped his hook in. Tua's hook was similar to Frazier, he threw it and hoped for it to land without carefully setting it up.

Morrisons always set his hook up, his positioning was perfect, dipped the knee, turned the waist and had his elbow level with his head. Therefore i'd have to say morrisons hook was far superior to both tua, frazier and of any other fighter ive seen.

It doesn't matter how you slice it, it was one of the most potent left hooks we've seen in the HW division.

You sir are a moron, it is absolutly stupid for anyone to rate Morrisons hook over Fraziers
Just becouse u think Tommys looked better doesnt mean anything, Frazier accomplished more with his left hook than Morrison could even dream of, Clobbering Ruddock is probably the best thing Tommy ever did with his left

Frazier beat Ali, Foster, Chavalo, Bonevena and other great fighters based hugely on his famous Left hook
