Tommy Morrisons Pathetic Glass Jaw

Morrison was a joke! Had just a handful of amature fights, fought in the toughman contests, actor turned boxing, many said his pro career started out as just a publicity stunt for Rocky v. Nothing but a club fighter who was playing off he color. But still beat two top 10 fighters in the 90's because the division was so poor. I've sparred with him and he was a bum.

 

He had an ok chin. I mean cmon he went 12 rounds with foreman who despite being old still had that power. Tommy just had horrible defence though,,,,,

 

no ****! right! that guy had giraff legs every time someone even looked at him **** eyed

 

um actually they picked tommy up after watching him on tv atsch

 

Nobody is a bum that gets into the ring with;
Ray Mercer, George Foreman, Razor Ruddock or Lennox Lewis.

Maybe Tommy Morrison was a 'manufactured fighter', but he was no bum.

 

No excuses,

A glass-jaw really means a boxer that is vulnerable to even a light blow.

A jaw that is excessively fragile.

Now, I wouldn't say that Tommy Morrison had a good chin, but he also could
take a decent shot.

The only fighter to put him down and out was, Ray Mercer.

No shame in that, as at the time Mercer was one tough hard-hitting *******.

3 knockdowns was the result of the TKO in the first round.

The first knockdown was a result of a pretty good right hand counter
that Tommy walked in to. He caught it flush.

The other '2' knockdowns were a result of an assortment of punches.

Michael Bentt, was a 220 lb. heavyweight with average power.

 

I agree. That particular night Lewis had one of his best night
andMorrison had one of his worst. Tommy got cut halfway
through the first round, then Lewiss size reach and power
were too much for Morrison who had a depth perception
problem from his cut almost closing his eye. Morrison
has come off the canvas to win before so i get sick of
the glass chin label as well. Tommy never got ktfo with one
shot like Lewis did so there.

 

After what Mercer did to him, his jaw was never the same. Great left hooker though.

Question: was he the last white American hw champ. Marciano then....if we count the WBO title that is.

I'm a Klitschko fan but some of you guys are plain ******ed. Is that even a GIF worth bragging about?, that's an ancient beyond past it Mercer.

 

Tommy's jaw is on the same level as Lewis IMO.

The problem is, he's too confident of his own power, too reckless, well, get's stiff as a borad when he attacks as in the Bennet loss, and lastly, he blows his entire load early and is severely gassed by the middle rounds, as how Mercer got him.
