The real was a shambles with Dempsey bloated and drunk in the ring.

Who do you think would win prime for prime?

    Go on, have a guess.

    Verry hard to say.

My initial idea is that Ryan might win simply because he was the bigger fighter and harder hitter.

Ryans power was top teir even at middleweight.

Really though, when two master-craftsmen of the upper-most durability meet, how often can power be said to have been the deciding factor?

Verry rarely but it is the only thing that we can clearly put between them.

    Was Ryan entirely two handed?

Who do you think had quicker feet? Jesus, I don't know why I do this type of thing to us.

Jack Dempsey was said to be so great, that in his prime, he had no peer.

Not relly sure who would win imo. But Jack Dempsey was a boxing God in his hayday.

I'd take Dempsey, reluctantly. Both are adaptable enough in being able to box and punch, I just think that Dempsey would set the pace and work a better two-fisted attack off his jab while remaining elusive. As I said, I'd edge towards him and he's a fighter I'm very interested in so perhaps a bit of bias. Ryan was an outstanding fighter though in his own right and I wouldn't be surprised if he were to beat a prime Dempsey.
