Both at their best... how does this one go?

Cooper beat Henry Tillman W12, Tyrone Booze W12, Willie deWitt KO2, Orlin Norris KO8, Joe Hipp KO5, Cecil Coffee KO2, David Jaco W10, Rocky Pepeli KO8, Derek Williams W10, Joe Savage KO1, and Richie Melito KO1 among others. He gave Mercer a tough fight but lost by decision. he dropped Holyfield but was stopped in the 7th. He dropped Moorer twice but was stopped in the 5th.

5'11 1/2" with a 78" reach and about 220 Lbs. at his best.

Morrison beat David Jaco KO1, James Tillis KO1, Pinklon Thomas KO1, Wimpy Halstead KO9, Joe Hipp KO9, "The Truth" Williams KO8, George Foreman W12, Razor Ruddock KO6, and others. He was stopped by Mercer, Bentt, and Lewis.

6'2" with a 76" reach and about 225 Lbs. at his best.

It's easy to pick Morrison... however,

Morrison went life and death vs. Hipp. Cooper beat the **** out of Hipp with very litttle trouble. Morrison got KTFO by Mercer. Cooper gave Mercer a tough fight.

On the other hand, Foreman stopped Cooper in 2. Morrison decisioned Foreman. Jaco went the distance with Cooper. Morrison stopped Jaco in the 1st round.

Both punch hard. Both are quick and have good left hooks. IMO, Morrison was quicker, had better defense, and punched harder. Both were stopped 3 or more times but both also showed a lot of heart in some of their fights. Cooper showed toughness vs. Mercer, Holyfield, and Moorer but lost all 3, 2 by KO. Morrison showed toughness vs. Hipp, Carl Williams, and Ruddock and won all 3 by KO.

Tommy Morrison had power and he was quick. I think Morrison wins by 5th round knockout.

A classic who lands first, either could take the other man out, either could land first

Morrison was not quite what many hoped he would be. Cooper was a decent 200lber, who had at a bit of a bang at Heavyweight. But at their best Morrison would win, and win comfortable.

Tommy showed in the Foreman fight, when focused, he did could do a job, and even a 42/43 year old Foreman was better than primed Cooper.

Morrison wears Cooper down, taking no chances, smokin' Bert late. Morrison TKO10ish.

Cooper was a bit too easily discouraged at times and Morrison would have discouraged him. KO6 win to Morrison

I think Morrison would win but I wouldnt rule out Cooper nailing Tommy and putting him out. Morrison should win this one and I dont see it going past 5 rounds either way.

Morrison IMO was the better fighter, mentally tougher, showed more heart, harder puncher, faster, threw combinations etc. Morrison wins mid round KO in a brawl that sees both men on the canvas.

    I'm going with Tommy.

Both men had their good and bad moments, but Bert's peak was shorter and his list of bad performances longer. Of course on any given night, Smoke could have gone out there and landed some of those nasty hooks on the inside, which could have torn the duke right up. But I think the more probable outcome is that Morrison being the more skilled and better starter tees off first and gets Cooper in trouble without letting him off the hook. Probably a good crowd pleasing slugfest for about three rounds.

both erratic chins but both could could punch....Tommy had the better wins and the winning record but so I make him the big favorite but his chin could fail him against a puncher....Burt quit a few times, both were into drugs sporadically so you never know

A toss up fight. I can imagine Cooper jumping on Morrison like he did DeWitt and finishing this thing early.

    I they fought 10 times, I think Morrison wins 6, Cooper 4.

There is no way team Morrison takes this fight unless Cooper has a title, and Morrison does not.

Best Cooper beats best Morrison. Trouble for Bert is his best version only showed up here and there. When it did, he was hell on earth and he had the chin and the power to get Tommy out. If he shows up less than his best, then Morrison gets him out of there.

I'll give you that... but what if they did? I think it all depends on when.

When Cooper was fighting the likes of Hipp KO5, Holyfield LKOby7, and Moorer LKOby5... he was pretty dangerous. He did lose 2 of these fights by KO and none of these fights went past the 7th round. Sure, he gave Mercer a bit of trouble but he was dropped and lost a clear decision... it was more about surviving than winning. Carl Williams easily outboxed him and stopped him in the 8th during a time when Cooper should have been at his best. Nate Miller stopped him. He should have stayed home instead of showed up for his fights vs. Bowe and Foreman.

With that said, Cooper is still a dangerous opponent for Morrison... but I think Morrison would still win.
