This hasn't been done in about 5 years so here we go!
One of my fav fighters (Toney) vs one of his (imo) hardest stylistical match ups in Tommy Hearns. Who wins and How?

Hearns was more impressive v Hagler than Toney was v Jones, I feel Tommy had more talent, his jab would have bothered Toney a lot, Hearns would have beaten Johnson more impressively than Toney did, but I don`t know if Tommy could have beat McCallum, so Toney best win t middle was better than Tommy`s best at 160, tight call.

Hearns jab and legs would cause Toney fits but James might get to him late like the Nunn fight.

I could see James getting to Tommy like the Nunn bout.

    Interesting match up.

Toney. Ref waves it off in the 10th.

Once it gets late into the bout, Hearns loses his legs. Giraffe time. Once he starts wearing stilts, he wouldn't last long. And that is when Toney would reallly pour on the gas knowing Hearns doesn't have the balance to fire off the big shots. A Herans left hook upstairs would help his cause some, but he only threw a good left hook downstairs.

Toney by stoppage. Toney showed the ability to close the distance against a taller boxer (Nunn). The difference is, Nunn was very good at in-fighting, Hearns was decent. Hearns low lead would be a problem too. Toney had exceptional speed and counter-punching skills. Hearns was the better out-boxer but he didn't have a great chin and Toney had power. This is just a bad matchup for Hearns. He'd have to outbox Toney for 12 rounds. I don't think anyone could stop Toney at 160. It's a combination of his granite chin and defensive wizardry. Toney was a consistent body-puncher too, he'd eventually catch Hearns on the chin. If Hearns was more durable, he could beat Toney. Hearns was very difficult to outbox.

Tommy s in control ,with his jab throu at least the first 8 rounds .In fact Toney would look disintrested. But Toney could be laidback and still dangerous .
We'd see Toney step it up ,get in close ,whilst Tommy is slowin down .A brutal right from James puts Hearns in to panic mode ,seconds later hes flat on his back .
Another quick kd from JT and it s all over .

Toney via come from behind KO, I favor Toney as the weight classes go up, but I assume you meant at 160.
