Before the fight takes place, I think we should get real and say that Floyd does not deserve any credit for beating Shane Mosley, who is past his prime and coming of a long layoff. This fight is just the 41st Mayweather hit job against a handpicked opponent, who happens to be holding a title. Floyd fights for money: but only against fighters he knows he will beat.

Floyd has cherry-picked for most of his career, and when it became obvious he was ducking Margarito, he turned down an 8-million-dollar payday and decided to quit boxing altogether. You see, after the two Castillo fights, Floyd decided he didn't want to be stalked by a guy like Margarito, who had better stamina, chin and work rate than Castillo. Margo would have run him out of the ring, like he did to Sergio Martinez.

So Floyd sat back and watched Margarito beat Cotto on sheer chin and stamina. That scared him. Then Margarito got knocked out and banned from boxing! That was good news! The guy Floyd was afraid of was now out of the picture! Two weeks after Margarito's ban, Floyd announced he was coming back to boxing. He could now cherry-pick again: with Margarito and Williams out of the picture, there was no one left who could beat him (Williams had moved up in weight). Floyd is very shrewd and knows who he can beat and who he can't beat. Be sure, when he steps into the ring, he will always win. But that doesn't make him anywhere near as good as Sugar Ray Robinson. :bbb

So Margarito beating Cotto scared Mayweather but Mosley beating Margarito didn't scare him?:huh

Yes he deserves credit for beating Mosley since he's still considered a top Welterweight/WBA champion. Speaking of which, it doesn't matter that he "happens to be holding a title" since it's not on the ****in' line!

I won't even elaborate on Floyd ducking Margarito. Absolutely ridiculous. He was paid 8 million and 1 cents to fight Baldomir for the linear WBC Welterweight Championship. Done.

Floyd had broken ribs in the first Castillo fight and still won. The rematch made it even clearer.

Floyd is not in Sugar Ray Robinson's league, period. As far as Mayweather not deserving any credit for a win over Mosley at this stage in their careers. I just don't see it that way. I think Floyd will win this fight and a win deserves a lot of credit in my view. Shane Mosley, even now, is a great fighter. This could be Floyd's toughest test to date. I don't think Floyd will have as much trouble with Shane as he had with Castillo the first fight, but I do think it will be competitive.

Mayweather is the only guy that can cherrypick a guy he's being forced to fight. He wanted no parts of Margo and is now fighting a guy that just destoyed Margo.

The same people who claim Floyd would never ever ever step in the ring with Shane are the same that are trying to give Floyd no credit for this fight. I thought it wouldn't happen at all but I at least give Mayweather props for fighting Shane I never thought this fight would happen.

This is like those who won't give credit for DLH's win on Whitaker. Whitaker was the best welterweight then, older or not. Mosley is the best welter now. I will give him full credit, and I've been very critical of Mayweather in the past as far as his choosing opposition. But Pacquaio and Mosley are Mayweather's big tests, and at least he's fighting Mosley. Mosley's gonna show he isn't any walk in the park for anyone.

How the **** do people even think Margo would land anything on Floyd, with his wide-ass looping punches?! Beatle, I think we can all unanimously agree that your thread is pure ****.

IMO, If Mayweather wins huge over Mosley. (Or vice versa)
Team Pac will want no part of either.

The fact that this clown hasnt even responded to his thread means he just took the time to type that crap to ruffle feathers. What i suggest since we know that this guy is a clown is no one else responds to this thread and it wont give him the satisfaction fo pissing people off or gaining replys
