I'm skeptical as to how much steriods can help you in boxing really, apart from allowing you to train harder for longer periods or maybe recovering from injuries quicker, Can't exactly give you more courage, bigger heart, a better punch resistance or more skills.

Boxing is firstly a skill sport.

But its a touchy subject your on their man. Steroids like Testosterone, will alter your mood and make you more of a animal inside of the ring, improves mental endurance and physically endurance. James Toney for one was only taking a steroid made for repair..i.e because of his injured arm. I can remember that he was actually given these steroids off his doctor. Boxers are athlete's so steroids in my opinion can make a difference, but it depends what type of fight it is. If your fit physically, it makes you sharper mentally. Everything has a affect, but in boxing its not just about the physically demands and who is the biggest strongest athlete.

That is why, steroids in boxing are not really criticised openly.

Like in Athletics, or Power lifting etc

If I saw James Toney pissing on the british flag, I would whip my dick out & start pissing on it too:D

Hold that thought, people would compare sizes, & Im pretty sure I would come off second best to a black man!

    I hear you fella.

    James Toney massively under appreciated.

Would have danced with the Benn's and the Eubanks of the British scene in the early 90's had they been man enough to face him.

His dismanteling of Iran Barkley is some of the finest boxing I've every seen.

Can't have enough time for James Toney.

  7. Haha gone south from when? Did you see the **** he was spouting in the build-up to Benn-Eubank?

He's always been the same. Total *****. I think he's great entertainment.

I'd love to see him in with Wlad. Stylistic nightmare for Haye, but at this stage Haye would outpoint him I reckon.

Toney? You never know, However, all Haye has to do is run, he does not have to throw punches, Toney would.

David Haye wont fight James Toney far to big a risk for him, James Toney is one of the most underated fighters of all time, Hes like the Heavyweight Floyd Mayweather, Silky Skills with a quality defence and can put together nice combinations(even though they are getting slower and slower). I think he could beat Haye if he got in the right type of shape instead of being lazy.

First of all, stop thinking Toney is the fighter he was even in 2003. He's not. He was outboxed by SAM PETER three years ago and won a highly dubious decision against Frez Oquendo last december.

Next, Toney was rocked very badly by his standards in his last fight against a 12-5 boxer. Haye would hurt him badly at this stage.

Yes because he hasnt been in shape SIMPLE.. You must have seen him when he gets into the ring with his big fat belly its not good for a fighter if he could wipp himself into shape with the right conditioning he could beat any heavyweight out there convinceingly.
