Well, striking involves more than just punching. So if you let Silva and Jones fight in a kickboxing match, it goes Silva's way 9 out of 10 times because of kicks. Sure, in a boxing match he gets his clock cleaned.Boxing limits folks to one skill, so obviously the people most polished in that will win. But as soon as you introduce other elements, it looks worse and worse for them.
