James Toney a great middleweight, supermiddle.Haye started out as a lightheavyweight and after the war with Tompson at cruiser when he got obviously stopped he`s looked really good now and unbeaten. But Toney come on,apart from being another 10 years on Haye is a blubbered up heavy and Haye would beat him.Hayes naturally bigger anyway.

I think this is a good fight. Haye gets a chance to show that he can bat Toney who has given other top heavyweights problems and if he wins hopefull Toney will disapear from the sport.

So by saying that you mean he would be "bounced off"the canvas now by supermiddlweights. No? Well i don`t think so either.People were saying Nigel Benn didn`t have a good chin after getting decked by Doug Dewitt yet he survived and beat ko power merchant Gerald McClellan.

yeah and he can still counterpunch with the best. Will your boy take this fight?

his one-lines are better too! "stable full of bums" and "...your sista, Vitali" > the matrix :yep

This fight would be great for boxing. it would attract a lot of mainstream interest

it will not give us a good idea of how good haye will be at HW

Toney doesn't deserve that fight because he's not fit to carry the fight to Haye... All he would be doing would be creating traps behind that left shoulder of his to roll, slip Haye's jab and score right hands. Therefore, that's a very unfair fight type for Haye and he should just avoid that fight.

Rahman was good, but right now he's old and sloooooooooooow. Those punches were telegraphed but many still landed. I'm not one of those blind Haye fans, but at this point he would murder Toney. One sided decision or a TKO win because Toney takes too much punches and lands little in return. At this point, the speed will kill him.

what has Toney done lately? get caught using steroids twice...never legitamately beat a quality heavyweight? why should Haye fight him? BTW no contest it was a no contest vs. Rahman who is also shot.

I love Haye, but he should avoid Toney. There are far easier fights out there until he has acclimatized to heavyweight. Toney CANNOT be knocked out, and his counter-punching would give Haye real trouble. I think Haye would win on points, but it wouldn't be easy and it wouldn't be pretty. Best KO a few decent heavyweights 1st (Maskaev, Rahman, Williams, etc) before taking on someone of Toney's skills at HW. Remember what happened last time Haye faced an old warhorse he was supposed to crush?

    :rofl :rofl

Haye is one of the most relaxed boxers in the ring that I have seen.
