I tend to agree with MRBILL and Ilesey. In contrast to Holyfield, who made Valuev look like a oversized gorilla, Toney lacks any kind of footwork nowadays. As long as you stand in front of the russian he is fine and as soon as Toney opens up inside, he'd hug him to death.

Toney was always a great entertainer even when he had an off night, but now it's time to call it a day. He won't get a shot against Valuev, because he's not a name in europe and he doesn't stand a chance against either Klitschko. It was kinda sad to watch him fight against Fres.

If Toney could return to the form he showed against Holyfield I'd give him a shot. But his last few fights haven't been very encouraging. He's so fat, he can't maneuver properly. Plus he's slowing down just from age and too many fights. Even with all the stiffs in top posistions in the heavyweight division today, I don't hold out much hope for Toney's success.

Toney is ****ing DONE. This title talk is ridiculous, he looked like crap against Oquendo and got a gift decision, and he looked OK for three rounds versus Rahman. He would beat none of the title holders right now at all, whether the belt is interim or otherwise, and would stuggle with anyone in the top 20 and probably lose to them.

Him and Holyfield should fight each other. Holy looked better than Toney did in his last fight. And thats not saying much.

His last legit win was against Dominick Guinn. Then he got a gift draw against Rahman where he clearly lost a UD. Then lost twice to Peter. Then another gift against Batchelder, then a NC against Rahman and another gift against Oquendo.

Toney can definitely beat Valuev but not the Klitschkos.

Toney does not need to move his feet against Valuev. Toney will move his head and make the slow and predictable Valuev miss all night. Toney will work the body and earn a decision. Valuev is just too damned slow.

Toney is done. He's a deluded punch drunk fat middleweight..that always talks the talk but fails to deliver...like has been said if he cant convincingly beat Oquendo then its time to hang em up and go'n have a big retirement party in Burger King.

Dude, we are talking Valuev here, the man who was beaten by Ruiz, Donald, Chagaev and most embarrasingly Evander Holyfield.

This has been Toneys new years resolution for a good few years now.

To be fair to Toney, he already beat Oquendo and Batchelder.
So it wasn’t too difficult task after all. :good

I think he would beat Valuev, if the match would be in US.
Klitchkos would be harder task but I think Toney could give them some problems and make it an interesting fight.

Toney is delusional. He can barely beat Fres Oquendo.
