"I've fought the best in every division that I've been in. Floyd can't say that. He can't say that, but, you know, I'm not knocking Floyd. Floyd's a great fighter, a hell of a fighter, but there's Floyd Mayweather, there's boxers and there's a master boxer, which is me. I'm the master. Period, hands down, I'm the boxing master! I can fight going backwards and forwards. A lot of fighters can't do that. Floyd can't do it. He tried. And all the things he's doing, he ain't doing nothing but trying to copy me. Everybody sees that. He's just smaller and faster and that's it...the hiding behind the shoulders, that's James Toney".

"Floyd is a great fighter, but anyone can get beat at any moment and any time, you know? The fight he's going to have the hardest time with is going to be Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao. That's two guys right there that's strong and fast. I ain't saying Floyd gonna get knocked out or he's going to lose to them, but he's going to be in a good fight".

"Shane will be stronger and impose his will on him, like the same thing he did against Margarito. Everybody said, 'Oh, Margarito is a tough test for him.' I picked Mosley and everyone thought I was crazy. What he did to him, if he fights Floyd the same way he fought Margarito, he's gonna knock Floyd out". "Manny Pacquiao, he's a southpaw, he's just as fast as Floyd, he hits harder than Floyd; he Floyd got problems with Pacquiao. If you the pound-for-pound best, you be like, 'Hell yeah. Let me step up and fight these mother****ers. Let me get busy".

Toney fought the best at 160, 168, and CW. He never fought the best at HW or LHW. He's also lost to his fair share of average fighters. Floyd fought the best at 130, and 135. He arguably fought the best at 147, and 154, and of course he has never lost. Toney's claim that Floyd can't fight going backwards is without merit. Floyd can fight going fowards, backwards, inside and outside. Toney seems to lack an outside fight game. His claim that Floyd is copying him seems pretty bogus as well.

He didn't fight the best at CW either. He fought Jirov and a shot, old McCallum in his only fight at CW. That's it. He didn't fight Gomez, Nelson, Mormeck, Hill, etc., all of whom were there when he was.

Floyds fought in what five divisions? Toney's fought in five as well? Difference is Floyd is still undefeated, but overall Toney has fought way more tough fighters than Floyd. He is also a master technician.

That's a good point. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt with Jirov. I guess his comp hasn't been all that great since he left 168.

Toney's lost to or struggled with some ordinary ones in most those divisions too.

I'm surprise Tony can talk with all of that Burger King food stuffed in his fat greasy mouth. It's obvious he's jealous of all the attention, money and fame Floyd has recieved. Tony is nothing more than a hater that needs to STFU and go away. No one cares what his fat ass has to say.

P.S. He can say all he wants about Floyd but at least Floyd has never cheated (steroids) in any of his fights:deal

Look I'm a Mayweather but Toney's right, Mayweather can't fight going forward, Floyd just can't punch his weight and he can't mix it up. Mayweather is better overall though because he keeps himself in great condition, which is more important even though Toney has mad skills

Aside from the fact that this is clearly bollocks, who is Toney claiming is 'the best' that he fought at heavyweight?

The Holyfield that was between losing to Byrd and Donald? Ruiz? Rahman? Peter?

I've seen Floyd fight effectively going foward in numerous fights. You can't get that far in boxing if you can't fight going foward.
