Toney: "I've fought the best in every division, Floyd can't say that".

I love Toney, but this rant has jealousy written all over it. Especially when Floyd's uncle Roger always gives Toney props as being "one of the best fighters". The man is salivating for a Klit and at this point in his career he will not see the final bell for the first time in his career if he fought either.

 

He can fight going forward, he just doesnt do it very often. It's always the same "Floyd cant do this" (Floyd fights a guy and does it) "But he cant do this!!!" (fights a guy and does it easily) "ok but its proved nothing because he cant do THIS!!!!!!" (fights another guy and does it)

 

Toney is hilarious. BTW anyone who says PBF can't fight moving forward is mistaken. He walked down Zab and broke him down.:deal

 

Along with Mitchell and Ndou....names Floyd walked down that spring to mind.

JT is an experienced vet. I would have thought he knew fighters better than that. For him to say "I can fight going backwards and forwards. A lot of fighters can't do that. Floyd can't do it. He tried" is really strange. Their's plenty of film of Floyd going backwards & foward. As you said, Floyd walked down Zab, and he knocked out Hatton going backwards. I don't understand Toney's logic at all.

 

Toney is his own victim.....if he worked as hard as Floyd does he prolly wouldnt have as many L's....and him saying these things is just a Super Ego he has always had......the man still wont give B-Hop and RJJ credit....even after being beat by RJ.

 

Exactly "I had to lose 40 pounds......" in regards to fighting Roy, whose fault is it that you were in the 200s going up against a very formidable foe. :verysad

this was also at the end of his career, usally a place where the fire has died out a bit, alot of fighters at that stage come in out of shape looking for a pay day, a prime toney stacked against a prime Floyd, you cant even argue, Toney is telling the truth...

 

No doubt Toney's wins at 160 over McCallum and Nunn some may argue are bigger than B-Hop's whole middleweight ledger amd can impressively stack up with all of Floyd's wins. But he is lying saying Floyd can't fight going forward, love him or hate him there isn't anything he can't do in the ring; combinations(whenever he is motivated), counterpunch, defense(one of the best ever), and ring smarts rivaled to none. Mayweather is great.
