IMO, Toney is the much better inside fighter and also fights a bit better going forward. PBF on the other hand fights much better going backwards. Even Toney in his prime could not move like PBF did.

I also think that PBF tries to copy James on the inside a little bit but prime Toney is one of the best inside fighters ever, so why not?

Toney is a real fighter, he's an old fat MW who's facing HWs, who still has a dream of becoming the HW champion of the world and therefore refuses to retire - even if he could have (should have?) done so for a long time. He continued to fight after literally everybody wrote him off, fighting journeymen on parking lots for years before coming back to become the Ring fighter of the year 2003. Win or lose, he's faced a who is who in every division, with the only exception being the Klits at HW.

Floyd hasn't been a real fighter for a long time. Sure he's talented and athletic and consistent and great and all that, but he's only in it for the money. He doesn't love to fight, he has retired several times already and only come back because he was bankrupt, taking the road of least resistance and not even facing the real challenges at WW. He moved up to LMW to face DLH, I'll give him that - but he didn't do it for the challenge, he did it because the paycheck just was so big.

But Toney facing HWs (and struggling) is more deserving than Floyd facing a LMW (and struggling too).

    I love James Toney...but C'mon...

    Julian Jackson
    Bernard Hopkins
    Gerald McClellan
    Chris Eubank
    Nigel Benn
    Joe Calzahge

And a few more. There were many fighters James Toney didn't fight at 160 and 168. Forget light heavy and heavy.

He never fought Virgil Hill at light heavyweight who was the best when he was coming up there. And he is right Mayweather never fought the best, but James lost to some of the best and never was consistent. Not for a great fighter. He is a hall of fame fighter, but not great.

And "Duck Dodger" Mayweather needed to come in over the catch weigh limit to have an edge over a naturally smaller JMM. End of discussion, idiot.
