I had Toney by wide margin in the first fight with Peter. He got robbed, was given a rematch, and stupidly hired Billy Blanks to train him. In the rematch I gave Toney 1 round.

 

Dude.....I can see all this "Techicailty" talk, but I call a spade a spade. You can quit more than one way. At least you are not blind and you could see Rock working the doc. to get a "NC" which is "QUITING". It's basically a "***** move" to quit but not have his record reflect.

The butt is a common thing in boxing and it's also common for the DOCTOR to call a fight based on the severity of the cut. How this played out is UN-Common in the sense that the DOC himself didn't see fit to call the fight based on what he saw....It was also UN-Common that the Ref had to make a call b/c of a fighters unwillingness to answer a direct question. So, you can call it waht you want, but bottom line is everyone know a Quitter when they see one and Rock wore that uniform for eveyone to see.

Agreed, the official result was NO contest but unofficially Toney won.
Take for example Chavez-Whitaker: Whitaker cleanly won but officially it was a draw.

A no contest was the right call against Rahman, who was clearly head butted by the fat ass, the fight was INCOMPLETE:deal BTW Rahman clearly won the 1st fight back in March 06, but was cheated by the 3 blind mice..

Peter won the first fight??!!! Based on what, Toney outboxed him landing many more jabs and he landed the cleaner shots throughout the bout. Toney also schooled Ruiz ass.

 

Yes...saying you can't see, is giving the doc the info you want him to have, to stop the fight.

He quit on medical grounds, by saying he "can't see" he called a halt to the action, knowing the doc would have to respect his own summary of his medical condition...

...even though the doctor did not feel the cut was bad enough to call for a cut stoppage, due at least partially to Rahman quitting before he could even get to inspect the eye.

...Hasim did what he had to do to get out of there, without an L, that wasn't going to be possible by actually fighting James Toney.

Toney may have schooled Ruiz, but he was juiced for that fight, so really that fight means nothing, lets see him school Ruiz with out the juice.

 

It's hard to feel bad for a guy when he was caught using steroids multiple times.

 

Toney should have been banned from boxing after being found positive for banned substance twice. :deal
