Probably good decision, but we need to hear the details for more, but again, from what I can find out that decision might hold.
I think it was good, because he could had continued. I didn't see no blood in his eye and the cut was not huge.
well thats the doctor's fault for telling the ref to stop the fight, not Rahman's Rahman got screwed because he never told the ref to stop the fight, the doctor did, but if Rahman knew that it would be a TKO he would have continued to fight for sure
I think it was somewhere in between. The doctor called the fight after Rahman told the doctor he can't see three times. But at the same time, Rahman had to know that the fight would be stopped and that he decided not to continue. Overall, i think bad decision. The reason why he couldn't see is because of the head butt, which was accidental.
Rahman got stunned in the round and knew he was in for a tough fight. He made no attempt to continue or give his corner a chance to work on the cut.You can't let a fighter make the decision when a fight should be stopped and ruled a no contest.
I just can't believe that a fight which ended in the 3rd round because of accidental headbutt can be declared a TKO. I'm not an expert but if it's after the fourth round yes . . . I believe it's posible but before? :huh :-( There's a big technical difference if it's the corner who directly refuse their fighter to continue and the RING DOCTOR stopping the fight. I'm interested on the commisions decission.
the bald commentator is always on Toneys ****, bigtime. It looked like Chris Byrd was gonna slap that dude. He always talks like he is a boxing expert.
Rahman claimed he couldn't see but that doesn't make it true.He claimed he would quit boxing if he couldn't beat Toney but instead quit on his stool. Rahman was only cut for half a round and clearly wanted out of the fight.:|
