The rules say if you quit on your stool before they can stop it, it's a TKO.

He didnt quit on his stool it was an accedental foul that caused the cut, Rock answered the Drs questions truthfully and said he couldnt see this was as a result of that foul.
Meaning its a NC, not meaning he quit meaning he told the Dr what his truth was.

    "I Can't See" = "I Quit"

I understand what your trying to say but if he cant see as a result of a foul its not a TKO win for the other guy.
you might call it quitting in a sense but the way I see it Rock was probably more than likely trying to manipulate the system, either way the rules do not change that foul caused rock to not be able to see according to Rock, and it happend before the end of the fourth meaning a NC

According to the rules, if you quit, it's ruled a TKO. Get off of Rahman's sack already, he's a married man you Drag Queen.

HE shoulda let the doctor decide..,once a fighter says the words i cant see its over..,

with no physical examine its becomes a TKO..,because if there is a nuerilogical prob or something else..,

all rock had to do is wait for the doc to call it off instead by rock saying i cant see its a tko..,the fighter in a case like this should speak when spoken too..,

the TKO was correct and will stand mate!!!!!

How? The cut, nor the blood cause the fight to be stopped....it was the word of the boxer in communication with the ringside physician which promoted the fight to be stopped. if the fight was stopped before the end of round 3 due to the severity of the cut the fight is ruled a NC....if the fighter quits as Rock did with the verbaige he used in communicating with the doc the fight is a TKO.

#1..Rock didnt answer truthfully! That is clear. He answered the question in hopes that the DOC himself would deem the cut to severe for him to continue. The doc didn't do that he asked Rock if he could continue. Rock CHOSE not to answer the question and lead the doc to believe he wanted out. Which his body language and words showed. Simple.

I think rahman wanted way out! he was losing 3rd round and most likely would lose 4th round and then they would have another draw! So rahman wanted out so it to be no contest!

Rahman wanted the ref to stop the fight, by his own admission he wasn't going to fight one eyed.

The ringside physician did not see a cut bad enough to require an examination that would lead to a possible stoppage. Rock thought that after a rough third round that showed us he would eventually get KO'd, he'd take the easy way out and try again another day...before the decision was read, Hasim could be heard saying "I'll rematch him."

Rock gave the physician info that that indicated he couldn't fight...leaving the physician no choice but to halt the action. Maybe Rock or his corner should have asked the doc to examine the eye (as he surely would have after climbing up the ring apron), rather than talking his way out of the fight.

This fight should not have ended after the third by decision, and it would not have if HAsim didn't talk his way out of the fight. The decision isn't great, but how can it be when someone is basically taking it out of his own hands and handing the bout over to officials...???

    I didn't watch the fight.

If Rahman said that he could fight, then the decision was ok. Did he said that?

Rock refused to answer the direct question from the Doc. The Doc asked 3 seperate times do you want to fight or continue to fight and each time Rock said he can't see. The doc was wanting a "YES or NO" answer and when Rock wouldn't answer the question, but kept saying he couldn't see the Doc took that as him not wanting to continue.

The rules say its a No Contest when doctor decides to stop the fight because of the accidental headbut. But that wasnt the case.

Rahman wanted to quit because of it, so its TKO:deal

And he was trying to take the ***** way out because Toney was dominating.
