Eubank didnt have any desire to fight the world's best.. only the domestic best. He'd have been far out his league with Toney.

Having said that... Eubank would do well in the current super 6.

Well, we all know who the winner would be out of that lot, his name begins with a "Roy" and ends with "Jones Jr". But there would be many interesting fights before that, obviously.

Toney is an almost great fighter, I have a hard time saying all time great because his consistency never was that great, and in a tournament he would not do so great. I think he would have beaten Abraham if he was in shape and motivated. Dirrell? Probably, but James would have trouble with the speed.

I'd love to of seen Toney v AA. It would of been good to of seen James break down AA on the inside

Toney? Nope... Kessler, Ward, Dirrell and probably Abraham would all be rough for Toney. Barkley would loose clearly to these four.

RJJ? Yes, Roy would do well, but it would far from be an easy task to win the tourney.

Hopkins? Would also do well. Again, not an easy task to win the tourney.

A motivated, ready to fight Toney is a class above these guys, but he wouldn't just walk through them. He'd win it, but it would be a decent fight with AA or Kessler.

Go study boxing, watch some tapes, then come back and post again in a couple years.

Sorry dude. You may buy the Toney stuff but you will not find any non-American who buys into that. Toney talks a great fight, but when Barkley, and that Polish or Russian guy is all you have to show for an entire career... well... and then of course a geriatric Holyfield in a fight where they threw 6 punches combined over the fight.

Why don't you use your energy on a yank that could fight and didn't have most of it in his mouth? Like a RJJ or a Hopkins.

I'm guessing you never heard of Nunn, McCallum, Sosa, Jirov etc and so on. Let me educate you on James Toney: Like someone said above, he was a near great fighter, who could be great anytime he felt like putting in the work. The problem with Toney is he didn't always feel like putting in the work. None of these guys in the tournament even approach Toney in terms of skill when his game was on. Not remotely. JT beats good heavyweights on skill alone. You think AA or Kessler are going to be fighting a quality heavyweight anytime soon? How do you think they would do?

I would pick Michael Nunn to win this tourney, let alone James Toney. As far as RJJ having a tough time in this thing, like you said earlier... I threw up a little in my mouth. He might not even get hit solid.

James Toney could beat all those guys in the tourney and easy. You guys just don't see it, Toney was classes above these guys.

I'm English. Look at his win against Nunn and also how regularly he fought in the early days of his career to know he was the truth. Yeah he came up against prime rjj but there aint a fighter ever that would of beat roy then at that weight

Good luck to you. Toney lost to fairly crappy fighters as you probably know. But I can see that you will just spin the story anyway you need to to suit your purpose. Since you absolutely will believe any excuse - or make one up yourself - I have some land property in the Sahara desert I wish to sell as fertile farmland. It is really great, the only problem is that it is dry as stone all year round, but we agree it is still fertile, right. None of these other places for farming (like Ireland etc.) even approach the Sahara when it rains. Not remotely. The Sahara beats even other good farmlands such as the north pole.

If it doesn't produce as expected, you will surely be able to explain why and why it is still superb farmland. Make me an offer dude. I think you will like it. It is right up your alley. :good

toney would have a serious problem beatn kessler easy. kessler has some real skills. jirov was able 2 hit jt alot and kessler is classes above jirov.
