Well it was about time. I still don't understand why Toney didn't want to face Tony Thompson.
Ok, Banks is one of the top US prospects out there, so this fight makes sense. Is it enough to warrant a title-shot? I don't know about that. But Arreola, Kevin Johnson and Sosnowski don't deserve their title-shots either, so...

The champ of fat asses? You don't even know what you're talking about. Putting Toney in the same league as Derrick Rossy and Sosnowski...
You're talking about a legend here. It's clear your boxing knowledge don't go back too far. Toney was a 3-time champ before even moving up to HW. Better do your homework next time.

Btw, your sense of humour sucks too.

Considering the sorry state of the hw division I do think that the winner of this would qualify for an eliminator or maybe a late sub for one of the current champs. As for the result, it will all depend on Toney's fitness weight and intact speed/reflexes ratio.

neither of these guys is top 5 or even top 10. Adamek is ranked 10 and he smashed Banks.

The winner will probably get a title shot because the division is overfloated with pretenders.

Does not matter. The winner will probably get a title so you better get used to it. :hi:

Hell, even Ruiz gets a shot these days, it does not take a lot.

the winner of this fight is not going to get a title shot. All the beltholders are already backed up with either Mandatory fights or eliminator fights to see who will face them. neither of them are getting a title fight any time soon unless it is the WBF, IBA, or something awful like that.

Banks is decent and seems to have more energy at HW than he did at CW, where he was often sluggish. He has ok power and skills.
Toney should've retired years ago, and he was never good at HW to begin with.
Hopefully Banks can mount an attack on Toney's beer gut and get the KO.

Vitali has 1 year to face the Solis/Austin winner - that leaves him plenty of time to do an interim fight. Haye has a clear road ahead of him once he gets past n°1 Ruiz (presuming that there was no rematch clause in the 1st Valuev fight). Wladimir can fight whoever he wants as Poevetkin doesn't seem to be interested in facing him anytime soon.

Haye has Valuev after Ruiz the WAS a rematch clause then he has the winner of Chagaev-Meehan. Wlad is never going to fight Banks they are in the same camp. James Toney is not going to get a title shot because he has done nothing to deserve it. Beating Banks is not going to make that happen. I don't know what delusional world you live in.

Again, in today's hw division one solid win is enough to secure a title shot especially when you consider Toney's "near" ATG status. Did Holyfield (against Valuev), Rahman (against Vitali), or Ruiz actually earn their title shots?

Yes, I know nothing about Toney......cause videos of his fights don't exist in my world.

    STFU

All I said was Toney is garbage at HW. Are you going to say he's an elite HW?
