Toney would fight the fight Duran fought and give Hagler the same problems, except he was better than MW Duran, quicker, bigger puncher and stronger at the weight.

    Toney very tight controversial UD/SD

I see it more like the tiberi fight with hagler being too strong and busy for toney

Toney was a hot and cold fighter and was far from his best against Tiberi

Hagler's output drops against counter punchers, he usually looks to box himself

Who do you think the best pressure fighter is that toney beat.

Seeing how uncomfortable toney was against the ropes I think hagler would stay in top gear.

Drake Thadzi was able to outwork and out hustle prime Toney with pressure. Sanderline Williams was able to pressure Toney to a draw. Montell Griffin was a counter puncher who outboxed prime Toney twice. I'll go with Marvellous Marvin Hagler UD.

Can't see Toney getting out of the way of Haglers left hands. JT would be competitive but drops a fairly clear ud.

ATG fight but I think Hagler takes it on work rate.

Jirov was a prime, big, strong cruserweight who put a great deal of pressure on his opponents.

Toney is one of the best fighters fighting on the ropes.

Jirov, yes that was good. Closer than the cards but good.

Completely disagree. When he wasn't on he could be bullied by average talents.

McCallum and then Jirov who he picked apart at a higher weight, then there's Barkley at 168. Either way Hagler isn't a pressure fighter, he works at a good pace and does pressure at time but this is a technical boxing match

Well we're assuming Toney would be at his best here, no? Anyway Toney wasn't really bullied, he'd be making them miss and making them largely be ineffective while taking a rest, then landing better cleaner punches himself

As this is hypothetical and we are talking about both fighters being on top form come fight night, I pick Toney on points.

Also Prince Williams was bigger than Toney and it's one the best displays of Toney's inside work.

Anyway I agree it's irrelevant - Hagler doesn't fight like these fighters.

It would have been a highly technical fight.
