Toney vs Briggs

Sadly Toney would be a massive step up from the guys Briggs has been facing recently. I don't see why not.....

Can Briggs truly KO old Toney?

Briggs couldn't KO Love, I doubt he KO's shot to ****(but still incredibly tough/cagey) Toney.

 

Prime for prime Toney beats the **** out of him. However, NOW this would be like two fatass drunken slobs battling it out in the parking lot after half a dozen beers.

 

Briggs would probably win almost every round at this point, I see him cruising to an easy points win in this one.

 

No argument here, Toney has eroded soooooo much. Awesome to watch at his best though.

 

Briggs Ko'd an ancient Mercer. Mercer in his prime had an iron chin.

Maybe he could ko an ancient Toney?

Anyway I do think that a prime heavyweight Toney makes Briggs look like a fool in the ring.

Today Briggs either wins by Ko or wins a sloppy looking decision.

 

Mercers chin definitely fell off in the early 2000s, so far Toneys has remained uncracked. I don't think Briggs could crack it, would probably take a top HW to stop Toney, and and most cases it would probably be a ref stoppage.

 

Agreed......would love to see these two scrap. I'm partial to James so I think he'd beat Briggs.

Toney loses to Briggs at this point- lightsout has been out of the ring for a year now. Looking slimmed down he might make the distance though. The fight would make sense for Briggs as he s desperate to get media attention in viwe of a fight with wlad.

 

If Toney got himself in proper shape, I'd put my money on Toney, Briggs at his very best shape has to low of a workrate.

 

Briggs shouldnt fight Toney. For what ? Briggs should fight someone from top 10 if he is serious. He can fight Amir Mansour for example.

Most of the guys from top 10 will not want to fight him but Mansour would fight him and the fight would be relevant unlike sideshow fight with Toney.
