Jeremy Williams is 6-0 in MMA. Toney should've matched up with him. This is like coture fighting Holyfield for the first time if he were to fight a boxing match.

Just read about this tonight, and james couldn't have picked a worst
opponent. Couture is a master take down guy, and is as experienced as
you can get in this sport of MMA. Toney couldn't be more tailor made for
couture. Toney isn't a mobile guy to begin with and likes the tear up off
of the counter while slipping. However, you can't slip a guy coming from
down so low you can't counter him, and then he's of top of you putting
you in various holds you've never been in before.
Well, it was either this or he get's bludgeoned by the klits. Either way
    Toney's retired.

toney is gonna be at least 250 for this fight.

I'll be rooting for the boxer.

i've been to a couture MMA fight back in 2005. I respect him for being a top fighter in his 40's.

It doesn't matter really. If Toney wins then the joke is on MMA, if Toney loses, who cares? This Couture fella should win because he is an MMA guy. Either way it's a win-no lose situation for Boxing and James Toney.

It's interesting you say that. MMA fans say that Couture is in a lose/lose situation. He beats Toney, no one cares. If he loses, he's a joke.

Kimbo came from the street and kicked ass in MMA. Toney will expose that these MMA are overrated, they are street fighters, no real skills there.

Yeah this is a dumb fight for UFC. There is a little to gain and everything to lose. If Toney gets taken to the ground and loses via submission or whatever that is expected and no one really cares. If Toney knocks out Courture UFC looks like a joke.

I don't pay much attention to MMA but I do know who Couture is and do have respect for him. He's like what, 45 yrs old? Very dedicated, kind of like a Hopkins. Toney always has a chance to starch him while they are upright. I don't think Couture's chin is too good anymore. But he definitely will be in great shape as opposed to Toney. If he doesn't get clipped while standing up, I imagine he will wear down Toney.

Kicked ass in MMA? Do you even know what the **** ur talking about? He got beat by Gannon, the absolute worst MMA fighter in history. . . then he goes on to Strike force to beat a very inactive ex-champion, then on to beat an old worn out Tank Abbot, then gets a fight with a guy who literally took the fight on 1 day advance and gets knocked out by a ****ing jab. Then goes to ufc and gets dominated by a fat hick. . . beats Alexander houston who can ONLY brawl, then on the biggest stage of his career, gets the ever loving **** beat out of him. I would say no, he has not been kicking ass in MMA. that is why Dana White cut him from the UFC roster and sent him packing.

To say those guys have no skills & are street fighters just shows you know **** all about the sport... if you dont like it, fair enough but dont talk nonsense.

On the fight... Toney has a punchers chance (as any good boxer does vs any MMA fighter) but if Couture doesnt get hit with that KO punch on the way in... he`s taking Toney to the ground & raping him.... THEN you`ll see the difference between a skilled MMA fighter & a street fighter with boxing skills.

Couture TKO 1 Toney (ground n pound, ref stoppage)
