yes. toney needs someone who attacks him, then he can counter. wlad would never be that close. haye would certainly get involved in close quarters. i am going to predict a 7th round ko for James Toney.
Toney/Haye needs to happen. Perhaps if Toney were to knock Haye out, then a fight with Vlad, after Vlad gets his other mandatory out of the way, would happen.
Haye is looking for an opponent for October. Toney still looks alright in the ring and is a name so that's better then some random tomato can. If Toney isnt' able to compete with Haye then it's clear it's time to hang em up as he won't be a threat to the major players in the division. On the flip side, neither would Haye if he happened to somehow lose to James Toney.
Tonight's Toney would give Haye lots of problems and confusion. Most of these heavies can't seem to force Toney to fight their fight and because they are so big and slow, they are easy to lull into a false sense of security. Haye would probably take 1-4 but then Toney would begin to wake him up in rounds 5-9. It would be close and exciting while it lasted. I pick Toney by 11th round TKO. Haye seems to fight tense and that would be hazardous to his stamina against Toney in a 12 rounder. Wlad in all wrong for Toney. It's interesting because I think Wlad's style is made to order for JT if Wlad were 6'1" or shorter, but Wlad is too tall and long and fights accordingly. Wlad stays out of JT's range and jabs his way to a unexciting UD.
