This would be an ATG fight but I’ve got Toney here, inside work would be interesting, overall this fight would just be awesome.

Before the Holy rematch I like Qwai, he was as fit, busy and mean as he was at 175 but after? I like Toney

How do you think he fights Toney?

He is aggressive by nature and Toney is defensive by nature but both are very slick I think he keeps Toney on the ropes and works

But that’s exactly where Toney would want to be no?

That's also where Qwai is at his best

I don’t know if that’s where he’d want to be against Toney, I don’t think you can beat JT by pressuring him, everyone who tried it pretty much got chewed up even the guys at heavyweight… Jirov was big, bad and busy but all that happened was a prolonged beat down, I think personally as a know nothing it’s sort of unanswerable to me on how you’d beat James Toney - I think maybe being cagey, negative, trying to get Toney to follow you so you can work off what he shoots.

Qawi finally faces someone close enough to his size, Toney could beat that pressure style, but again we don't really know much, Qawi himself was very tough and nearly beat prime Holyfield.

This is one I would wager a good size bet on Dwight Qawi. He had a slick defense coming forward and could create openings vs Toney that more conventional boxers can't. I also think he would outwork Toney.

For a little guy Dwight was an intimidating presence in the ring. Especially at 175 but still effective at Cruiser.

I see it the same. One thing that is the safest bet is this fight is going the distance. Both guys were as tough as it gets and as defensively sound as anyone. I favor Qawi's higher workrate and his underated defensive ability and ring intelligence. Toney ate Jirov alive with counterpunches on the inside but that was also a big part of Qawi's game. Tough fight with lots of close rounds but I have to go with Qawi even though I love Toney.

Very hard fight to call honestly. It would be a close war one way or another, both were masters of the trade.

Qawi gets on his chest and gives Toney no room, he wouldn’t struggle to get on the inside.
Toney’s game was, ‘I’ll box in the outside if you want, but if you want to get inside, you can and I’ll school you on the inside as well’, but that would work here, because he doesn’t have the feet to stay away and keep it at distance, and he wouldn’t be able to beat Qawi on the inside.
