Usyk would win a competitive but comfortable UD. Toney would have his moments but Usyk’s movement and ring IQ would win the day.

    Clearly Usyk imo

I don't imagine Usyk losing to Thadzi who beat Toney at CW

I agree. I love Toney but styles make fights and Uysk is all wrong for JT. JT liked to fight big men that set there feet when they punched so he could counter them. Uysk would use his movement and excellent combination punching to win a UD.

Bad style for Toney. Usyk won't stand in front of him like jirov.

8-4 ish competitive win for usyk

Uysk wins a close but competitive decision against Toney. Uysk outboxes Toney with Toney having his moments throughout

I love Toney but Usyk is a bad style matchup for him. I just cant see Toney as great as he was winning this .

I agree with the Usyk prediction but it just shows how great Toney really was. Usyk is an excellent fighter at his natural weight of CW. Toney was a puffed up MW fighting way bigger guys and beating many of them. Toney was one of my favorite fighters for years but he always frustrated me because he could have been a true great if he had dietary discipline. His toughest opponent was the dinner table (closely followed by breakfast and lunch table).

@Oakland Billy Smith Didn’t you say once that Toney was a top 3 ATG cruiser and would “give Usyk dat work”? Care to explain how a guy who’s best cruiser win was a life and death battle with Jirov beats the #1 cruiser weight in history?

Toney is too fat and immobile to beat Usyk

Well i may have indeed said that, although you'd have to show me the link.

I think JT is an all around P4P great, based on his throwback defensive style, granite chin, and his ability to fight top level opponents from MW through HW.

I dont even remember if JT fought any CWs besides Jirov, but i do remember how highly rated Jirov was at the time, and i would hardly consider that a life and death struggle. It was indeed a competitive fight, but Toney clearly pulled it away towards the end and nearly stopped Jirov on exhaustion.

I do contend that Toney perfected the rope a dope style which clearly enabled him to beat and stay competitive against much larger HWs.
I think Toney's style would make him competitive against any fighter 190 lbs through HW in history, and I think he would dispatch Usyk much the same way he did Jirov.

Btw, I have never used terms like 'dat' or 'dis' in my posts. Please do not insinuate as much. I am here to bring experienced boxing dialogue to the discussion, as i have been watching the sport for over 30 years and have attended numerous fights in person.

I have never used ebonics and im not here to tap dance or to bojangle for your likings.

    Good day to you sir

    Usyk by very dominant decision.

No I’m pretty certain that quote from you was verbatim or at least very close. You have recently got some help with your posts or tried your best to mimic posting styles of more eloquent members so good on ya for at least trying to clean up a little

And I disagree with Toney “perfecting the dopa a dope style” He wouldn’t have gotten whooped by Sam Peter if he did. Another thing you may want to consider with your VAST BOXING DIALOGUE is Toney did get busted for actual anabolic steroids so we have to take that into account!! I mean if forced to take on Usyk who’s a clean fighter and PFP force... how would Toney survive without his nandrolone?! :watchout:

    Usyk outclasses him. UD 12
