James Toney is said to be fighting Danny Williams. Who wins this battle of the big boys?

I think Toney will edge it, Williams very from quite good to undoubtably ****.

Like to see Danny win though.

Danny looked very impressive in his last fight, although it had to be stopped early due to the other boys cuts.

I see no way you can pick Toney in this one. He looked absolutely shot against a guy who is essentially a punching bag in Batchelder.

As big a Toney fan as I have been, it is time for him to retire, the ring wear is seriously showing.

Therefore, the prediction has to be Williams by either wide decision or possibly by late stoppage. Not so much for who Williams is at this point, but for what Toney isn't--a viable boxer.

well Toney has been in this stuation some times before, he looked **** in his last couple fights, and got robbed before that, everybody said he was finished but he always came back then. Maybe he can do it again. But he needs to get in decent shape, at least under 230 lbs, and more important: he has to spar a lot to get his timing back. People shouldn't overrate his roid-incidents, many in the game do that ****, but most don't get caught, well he did get caught, he shouldn't have done it and he don't need it, but he did it and he paid for it, period. If Williams has a good day this might be tough for him, but Williams is probably badly out of shape himself, so...
I do agree that at nearly 40 years Toney should think about retirement, enough is enough, he gave this sport enough, and nobody wants him to get hurt, but well if he does good in this WBC eliminator why shouldn't he take another shot at a belt if he can get it before retiring? Unfortunately he probably won't get that title-shot before 2009... And there have been many fighters who got title-shots who deserved it less than Toney.

This is a fight all about the weigh in funny enough eg. if

    toney was 215 and
williams was 280 i pick toney to win by UD or maybe stoppage

but if toney was say 230 and danny was say 235 then i think danny would win in a good fight

danny williams is pretty good when wanting it and weighing under 18 stone and terrible when lazy and weighing over 18 and a half stone

Knowing williams he'll probably either knock toney out or get put to sleep himself.
