Yes, I have. Saw him lose to Lebedev and Browne, by UD. Toney has never been knocked out, and I doubt Wlad would be the one to do it, sorry. :verysad Like I said he's a shadow of a shell of himself, but he's not gonna be stopped. I knew James personally from around the way, and I really don't like the guy. But, I know his career and his ability inside out when it comes to boxing. See if you can't count on one hand how many times he's been down in his career. :deal Wlad wins UD by a wide margin.
I will say this. Toneys chin is still pretty good considering how shot he is but Wlad would give him a tremendous beating and if Toney wasn't knocked out there would definitely be a doctor or ref stoppage.
Crazy thread. Some of the best posters in ESB's history with some of the absolute worst (Punisher33, Muchmoore, Suge Green, Derrick, etc.)
I can totally agree with a doctor, or ref stoppage (depending on the situation). My whole argument is simply I don't believe Toney wouldn't be stopped via KO. It would be a war and fun to watch.
10 years ago , this would have been a close fight. Nowadays, Toney is always out of shape and his offensive skills seem to have detiorated severely in last fights.
No way would Toney have ever beaten Wlad. Toney is over rated as a puncher he was an accumulative puncher not a 1 punch KO artist. I don't think he had the power to KO Wlad. Also Toney's style was all wrong to beat Wlad. Toney had slow feet he did his best when guys came to him, Barkley, Jirov etc. Guys who moved and boxed, RJJ, Nunn etc gave him fits. Toney was a counter puncher who was effective from mid to short range. Wlad's cautious long range, mobile style along with his clinching to stop any mid range or in close fighting would have totally shut down Toney. Toney would be lucky to win a round though with his iron chin and defensive skills he might go the distance.
