I'm not arguing that. But you claim he has zero power...which is pretty ****in' false. It's quite frankly the only thing he has. But yes...I do believe Toney outbangs Kimbo in a toe-to-toe battle.
Toney against Lesnar would he horrible, Toney would get absolutely mauled. He wouldn't get a chance to throw anything, just get taken down and given a serious dose of prison sex.
The entire circus show is packed with bums, I would give Toney a great chance. What did an ancient 60 year old Ray Mercer do recently? That's not a sport, it's a glorified street fight in a cage. As long as you land first it's over with. Didn't that Brazilian champion KO that old man like a few years ago by poking his eye?
That is right. They have no technique and just swing away and don't have good defense. Toney would knock most of them out.
Yes. If Toney is so desperate for money/fame/glory, that he's serious about MMA fighting, he needs someone to wake him up to reality. Granted, MMA is a talentless circus when compared to boxing, but Toney, at his weight and age, and lack of power, would not do well at MMA fighting. In my opinion.
It is just a publicity stunt. I doubt he will fight in UFC. However if he does, I hope it’s against someone like Kimbo rather than Lesnar.
I personally am not a fan of MMA, but, like MexicanJew said, it's impossible to compare two incredibly different sports, particularly in a way that would denote one as being better and/or harder than the other. If for nothing else, I would like to see Toney (or at least some other well known boxers) attempt MMA just to spite Dana White, as another said. Amusingly enough, Anderson Silva, the world's current no. ranked 1 MMAer, voiced a strong desire to engage in-- and even briefly did-- in boxing. He did poorly, yet that went under the radar; equally, if the roles were reversed (a top boxer attempting MMA and not doing well), based on Dana's ass holery, I bet he'd be shooting off about it.
Toney would have to learn how to defend against takedowns and the offensive part of ground fighting for about a year then i think he would do well. However if those guys didnt go for the immediate takedown though they would be in trouble as Toney is light years against their best striker. Ray Mercer is an example of how he would do first off ive seen Mercer in 3 MMa fights in one he took a kick to the head and didnt want no more, In the other Kimbo took him to the mat immediatly and ended matters. Against Tim Sylvia well he looked great cause the big dummy, didnt try and take him down and got KTFOD in a heartbeat. One thing is these MMA guys cant go heads up with a boxer any good amatuer would take these china chinned guys out fast. But a boxer has no chance when it comes to the ground fighting. Bottom line Toney needs to learn some of their ground fighting skills since he is going into their sport. Something Mercer never bothered to do.
Well said. Toney will be better off if he learns the ground thing. But I just see him catching a lot of those guys while rushing in and the boom lightsout. Anyway, Toney should stick to boxing. He has a fight with tarver .
