Toneys latest interview..his brain sounds completely scrambled

Mostly incomprehensible. Really makes me sad .

As noted before, doesn't he need to pass some sort of stringent testing to qualify as medically healthy to fight?

Hope he wins this contest which is a far cry from a world championship fight from his hay days, and hangs the gloves up.

And how exactly are these news?

First of all , Toney has sounded punch drunk, since the 2nd Peter fight 8 years ago!And no, it has not gotten noticably worse over the last 7 years.And yes, doctors should be concerned.

In this interview, Toney obviously has a cold and speaks through his nose like he always does which makes it even worse. He also puts no effort in
his speech. He sounded better in the BBC TV interview.

Also, his voice is also a lot deeper than he was younger, which make things better.

I wonder what that's about... his steroid use? Surely he's not a smoker and you've got to be a pretty heavy drinker for it to damage your vocal cords

 

Well, he has oftentimes admitted that he smokes a lot of cigars....

Know whats weird? Holyfield actually came out of the sport mentally in tact! I just watched an interview with him from a few months back and he sounds pretty normal. I never would have imagined that Holyfield wouldn't end up punch drunk. Tyson would be doing reasonably well and Holyfields life would be a complete mess.

 

Just watched a young james toney interview in youtube. He slurred already back then.
