This isn't the amateurs. Hard punches count more than light punches in pro boxing.

Im sorry its got to be like this for Johnson, i feel for him. Even if the decision is legit, im sure GJ seriously felt he won and he put all he had into this fight and training and he thinks this is one of his last chances so i dont hold him not being so accepting of defeat against him. I hope he takes pride and some moral victory that he knows if he was a few years younger he would probably have won this fight.

You realize there isn't really a difference between a unanimous and a split or majority decision, right? A points win is a points win. A UD can in some weird cases even be closer than a SD/MD (ie: 115-113 on all three cards would be closer than a split of 117-111 for one guy against 116-112 and 118-110 for the other guy).

Whether all three judges reach consensus does not in and of itself tell whether or not it was a "close" decision. That you can only tell from the individual scores.

He honestly hasn't been robbed that many times, he just fights in a lot of close fights.. there is a difference. He just doesn't do enough a lot of times to totally swing rounds his way without question, thus why he's in so many close fights.

He was a ***** in that interview, trying to play off that he wasn't hurt is lame.

Really got to feel for Johnson. He never gets the decisions. 116-112 is surprising across the board in a pretty close fight that could have gone either way but ends up going to the young guy.

I gave GJ most of the close rds, because frankly Cloud cant deal with offense. He goes into a a shell and Glens jab was far suoerior. If you give those close rds to Cloud imo you end up with a draw. I felt GJ did enough to win this fight.

There was not enough emphasis on GJ's defense. Cloud hit gloves most of the time.
I would have accepted a 115-113 Cloud at the most without it being shady.

I had glen winning the fight.

Agreed. It was a good fight. I had it 115-113 for Cloud. I would have liked to give the 12th to GJ, but couldn't. Can't argue with anything from 116-112 Cloud to 115-113 Johnson. Good, tough fight.

i dont think anyone is crying robbery. But GJ did throw more and land more. So i dont think that was the issue. Glen controlled the fight more with hsi jab and had better defense as well.

    Dunno..felt GJ deserved that

Doesn't count that 3 times more "light" punches are landed, right? :-(

I'm glad you're so sure of yourself in a discussion of something almost infinitely variable. Kudos.
